Franklin R. "Frank" Daniel, 71, of Attica, passed away Friday evening, July 13, 2012, surrounded by his family at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.
He was born Jan. 17, 1941, to Ruben and Anna Marie (Ball) Daniel, in Attica. On June 10, 1961, he married Judith D. (Nagel) Daniel at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Attica, and she survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Travis Daniel of Willard, and David (Penny) Daniel of Attica; a daughter, Reggi (Todd Bruner) Hansen of Attica; and four grandchildren, Scott (Shawna) Hansen, Steve Hansen, Ashton and Addison Daniel.
Mr. Daniel was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Attica, Attica K of C, NRA and NMLRA, Seneca East Athletic Boosters Club, and was a 1959 graduate of Attica High School.
He worked at Mansfield Brass & Aluminum in New Washington, retiring in 2005. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play sports, crossword puzzles, dressing in 1840 primitive buckskin and was an avid reader of Civil War books.
A Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Attica, with Fr. Paul A. Fahrbach officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Attica.
Visitation is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, at Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR 19, Bloomville. The rosary will be prayed at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
