Brew classes new at Sandusky fair

FREMONT - Sandusky County Agricultural Society has announced the addition of a new "home brew" beer class and judging for this year's fair, Aug. 21-26.

The class is open to anyone who experiments with homemade beer. Prizes will be awarded in 10 divisions including light lager, dark lager, hybrid style, English pale, American pale, American and English brown and red ale, porter and stout style, wheat and rye beer, Scottish/Belgian and sour ales and speciality beers.

Entries must be delivered to the Crop and Shop Building, 901 Rawson Ave., Fremont, 10 a.m.-noon Aug. 19. Closed judging will take place at 1:15 p.m.
