Tonia Irene Fishbaugh Worthen, 75, of Tiffin, died Monday, July 9, 2012, at The Gables at Green Pastures in Marysville, following a re-occurrence of breast cancer.
She moved from Tiffin in January to be close to her daughter. An elementary teacher, she retired from Coldwater Public Schools in Michigan after 37 years as a fourth-grade educator.
She received a bachelor's degree in education in 1959 from Ohio Northern University and worked toward a master's degree at The Ohio State University.

She retired in Tiffin, near the home of her brother, where she enjoyed newfound friends, taking water aerobics at the YMCA and playing dominoes. She enjoyed reading, handicrafts and traveling to attend classes at John C. Campbell School of Folk Art, N.C.
She was born Jan. 15, 1937, in Mendon, to Anthony Wayne and Edith Crosser Fishbaugh.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa (Rob) Jostes of Marysville; her granddaughter, Katie Jostes of Marysville; her brother, Paul (Donna) Fishbaugh of Clyde; her nephew, Michael Fishbaugh of Huron; a cousin, Pam LaMont of Boca Raton, Fla.; and her longtime friend, Nellie Lavens of Fremont, Ind.
Her memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2012, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory, 135 N. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-1221, with the Rev. Forrest Kirchenbauer of Grace Community Church, Fremont, officiating. Interment will take place beside her parents at a later date in Bronson, Mich.
The family will receive friends beginning at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
