I was shocked to read a letter in the paper this morning. I can't believe someone would steal the bronze marker from a veteran's flag holder. That's getting pretty low to steal from a veteran's grave, or anyone else's grave!
These men and women have fought the battle for our freedom and to keep our country safe. The sad part is that some made it back home and some didn't. Some came home in good shape and others came home with an arm missing or a foot or maybe both legs missing, or some have lost their eyesight.
They came back to their families and have to make a new lifestyle. Hopefully they'll be able to work at something they will be capable to do to get training for something else.
Recently, I heard they had door mats that were made like the American flag for sale. Who would wipe their feet on our American flag!
