Timothy A. Riedel, 58, of Upper Sandusky, died at 1:45 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2012, at home with loved ones by his side.
He was born March 25, 1954, in Tiffin, to Arnold E. and Alice (Romanko) Riedel, who reside in rural Sycamore. He married Deb K. (Wood) on Dec. 2, 1972, and they later divorced. He then married Lyssa (Pooley) Riedel on June 20, 1998, and she survives.
Also surviving are his five children, Nicholas T. (Cindy) Riedel of Melmore, Seth E. (Jennifer) Riedel of Verona, Va., Rachel M. Riedel and her life partner Michelle Dedrick of Lyndhurst, Va., April D. Blue of Oceanside, Calif., and Aaron C. (Rorie) Blue of Hillard; four grandchildren, Parker Riedel, Dustin and Jackson Blue, and Danielle Lambrite; one brother, Galen L. Riedel of rural Sycamore; and one sister Cynthia A. Riedel of Jackson, Wy.

Mr. Riedel
Mr. Riedel was a master craftsman of Fine Homes and Woodworking, where his motto was "Building with Style." He was of the Christian faith and was a 1972 graduate of Mohawk High School, where he was on the school track team. He was also a member of Sons of the Sycamore American Legion Post No. 250. His hobbies included painting with acrylics, mainly concentrating on portraits, for which he won several awards. He enjoyed swimming in his pond, taking walks in the woods, loved his family time, and was known to have a great sense of humor. He collected all kinds of antiques and coins, and was genius at crafting things with his hands. He touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed.
His funeral service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, with the Rev. Jim Stauffer officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, at the funeral home.
