LITTLE LEAGUE FOOTBALL: The Tiffin Little League Football Golf Scramble is at 8 a.m. at Clinton Heights July 14. It is $50 per person, which includes golf, a cart, a T-shirt and more. There will be a sports memorabilia auction after golf.
n The first draft for the league will be at 10 a.m. July 7 at Hedges-Boyer Park. The second draft is at 10 a.m. July 28, also at Hedges-Boyer Park. The league is open to players and cheerleaders, grades 4-7 in Seneca County.

FOOTBALL: There will be aa Seneca County Youth Football Combine Camp for boys and girls ages 9-14 at the Heminger indoor football facility at Tiffin University from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. July 21. Participants will receive a camp T-shirt, as well as lunch provided by Bloomville For Ice Cream. This will be an informational camp focused on football fundamentals and building confidence in our youth on and off the field. Cost is $30 and must be registered by July 16. GOLF: Denny Yoakum, Jim Dillard, Steve Blue and Dave Hoke lead the Old Fort Ex-Hi Over 50 League. Prize holes went to Ed Correll (long putt No. 1), Joe Lynch (closest to pin third shot No. 5) and Ray Trautman (closest to pin No. 7).
n Andy Beebe vaulted ahead of Dennis Gase 183-168 for the top spot in the DTS Par Tee League. Beebe fired a 37 for the low round, and he, Steve Bernard, Tony Consolo and Jason Galitza all won skins. Prize holes went to Beebe (long drive No. 2), Bernard (pin shot No. 8), Brian Perrine (long putt No. 7, best poker hand), Gase (pin shot No. 5) and Andy Halcomb (long putt No. 9).
n Dave Hershey, Rufuss Tyree, Tom Holmer and Bob Grothaus shot 4 under to win Monday's Retirees League at Seneca Hills. Prize holes went to Dan Galaba (long putt No. 12) and Jeff Wise (closest to pin No. 16). Holmer shot a 34 for the low gross.
n Shari Ward and Jane Dillard lead Carol Lofay and Jackie Waldock 18 1/2-17 1/2 in the early shift standings of the Baumann Group Monday Night Ladies Scramble League at Clinton Heights. Nita Doran and Barb Kuhn ended closest in two at No. 7 en route to a low gross of 34. Lee Michaels and Linda Phares made the long putt at No. 8.
n Erica Hoppes and Deena Darrick lead the late shift of the Baumann Group Monday Night Ladies Scramble League at Clinton Heights with 15 1/2 points. Janni Yanni and Juli Weinger are tied with Kerry Jones and Andrea Wensowitch for second with 15 points. Yanni and Weinger ended closest in two at No. 7 on the way to low gross of 41. Jones and Wensowitch made the long putt at No. 8.

FOOTBALL OFFICIATING CLASS: The Tiffin Football Officials Association is sponsoring a class for individuals to become OHSAA certified. The classes begin July 16 and consists of 20 hours of classroom instruction and four hours of on-the-field training. Applicants must then pass a rules test and a mechanics test. E League Tournament
Brodie Fox ripped two singles and a double and the Yankees didn't allow any hits in an 11-0 win over the Indians. Reece Moore, Josh Yentzer and Michael Elchert each homered for the Yankees, and Takaia Goodman singled.
n The Tigers jumped out 5-0 in the bottom of the first and cruised from there to beat the Red Sox 9-4 and end third in the tournament. Quinton Smith and Cameron Smith both singled twice and doubled for the Tigers, Brayden Elchert doubled twice, Pat Manquis singled twice, Mike Eisenhower doubled and Trevon Blodgett singled. Travis Everhart's double and singled keyed the Red Sox. Will Heineman added a double, and Dylan Alford and L.T. Reeves both singled.
