A man was charged with a fourth-degree felony after his girlfriend reported being beaten and held for days.

According to a Tiffin Police Department report, a woman told police Saturday evening she was beaten by her boyfriend and was held for a few days before she could get away. The incident occurred June 22, and she had been to the hospital, it states.

A Tiffin Police Department spokesman said Eric A. Runion, 38, of Tiffin, was charged with felonious domestic violence.

A Seneca County Jail spokesman said Runion arrived at the jail early Sunday morning and remained incarcerated Sunday evening. He was being held without bond until he has an initial appearance in Tiffin Municipal Court today, he said.

The police spokesman said he did not know where the woman was held or the extent of her injuries. The incident remained under investigation Sunday evening, he said.
