LITTLE LEAGUE FOOTBALL: The Tiffin Little League Football Golf Scramble is at 8 a.m. at Clinton Heights July 14. It is $50 per person, which includes golf, a cart, a T-shirt and more. There will be a sports memorabilia auction after golf.

n The first draft for the league will be at 10 a.m. July 7 at Hedges-Boyer Park. The second draft is at 10 a.m. July 28, also at Hedges-Boyer Park. The league is open to players and cheerleaders, grades 4-7 in Seneca County.

FOOTBALL OFFICIATING CLASS: The Tiffin Football Officials Association is sponsoring a class for individuals to become OHSAA certified. The classes begin July 16 and consists of 20 hours of classroom instruction and four hours of on-the-field training. Applicants must then pass a rules test and a mechanics test. GOLF: The Wednesday League at Clinton Heights will play on Tuesday this week, due to the Fourth of July.

SOFTBALL: Green Springs will host an all-nighter USSSA Class D and E qualifier July 6-7. For more information, call (419) 680-1464.

D League

Old Fort edged Bair Bros. 2-1 June 29. Andrew Taylor and Kyler Fuller both singled for Old Fort Bank. Rico Lopez singled for Bair Bros.

n Elks jumped out 9-2 in the first inning June 29 en route to beating Marco's 17-5. Dylan Hurst homered twice for Elks, Blake Donnersbach doubled twice, Shelby Fitch doubled and A.J. Elchert and Greg Gase each singled. Jake Hayman homered for Marco's, and Brenton Prenzlin, Elise Kimmet and Jackson Pate all singled.

n Old Fort Bank scored once in the bottom of the sixth June 28 to upend Elks 9-8. Max Blackford tripled and doubled for Old Fort Bank, Karson Kiser doubled and singled, Austin Mungia singled twice, Isaiah Orozco triple, and Austin Halsey and Andrew Taylor both singled. Shelby Fitch homered and singled for Elks, and A.J. Elchert, Logan Schatzinger, Blake Donnersbach and Dylan Hurst all singled.

n Rico Lopez, Donnie Magill, Devin Runion and Alex Kelbley all singled twice June 28 as Bair Bros. Thumped Marco's 22-2. Tyson Price backed them with a triple, and Jon Reichenbach, Austin Harp, Parker Brown and Wayne Harrison each singled. Jaden Eggert doubled for Marco's and Brenton Prenzlin singled.

Tiffin Area Babe Ruth

Bair Bros. Outlasted A.J.'s Pizza 15-10. Taylor Warner doubled twice and singled for Bair Bros., Tyler Hossler doubled and singled, winning pitcher Jacob Hossler homered, Ryan Steinmetz doubled and Cody Myers and Kyler Cook both singled. Aaron Kidwell's double and single led A.J.'s Pizza. Tyler Fitch, A.J. Mattia and John Vancamp all singled.

n Webster overwhelmed FOP No. 128 by a 12-1 margin. Brayden Harrison tripled and singled for Webster, Mason Mullennex and winning pitcher Alex Jeffrey both doubled and singled, and Brad Fitch and Dominic Latona both single twice. Nate Thomas doubled and singled for FOP No. 128, and Will Jones singled.

n T.J. LeJeune and winning pitcher Taran Rodriguez both singled twice June 29 to key Fremont Rotary Club's 13-9 win over Moose. Carson Parker added a double and Nathan Weaver, A.J. Russell and Donald Bennett each singled. Elliot Phillimore tripled and singled for Moose, Nate Rider and A.J. Phillimore both doubled and singled, and Vollie Brock, Troy Halcomb, Cole Daughenbaugh and Aaric Gannon all singled.

n Bair Bros. stormed past A.J.'s Pizza 23-10 June 27, getting three doubles and a single from Cody Myers. Kyler Cook singled twice and tripled, Tyler Wise and winning pitcher Tyler Hossler both singled twice and doubled, Jordan Jaso doubled and singled, and Jacob Hossler doubled. A.J. Mattia's three singles keyed A.J.'s Pizza. Aaron Kidwell lined two singles and Jeremy Brose and Tyler Fitch both had one.

n Austin Burgess doubled twice and singled and winning pitcher Brad Fitch singled twice and doubled June 28 in Webster's 21-4 thumping of Seneca Hills. Alex Jeffrey chipped in two singles and Dominic Latona and Brayden Harrison both singled. Ben Whitmer doubled for Seneca Hills and Takoma Daniels singled.
