Luther B. Lust, 93, of Nevada, Ohio, died Friday, June 29, 2012, at the Inn at Westbrook, Upper Sandusky.
Luther was born Aug. 2, 1918, in Wyandot County, to George and Mabel (Brause) Lust. He married Alice Gingery Dec. 22, 1946, in Sulphur Springs, and she preceded him in death Oct. 28, 2005.
Surviving are a son, Kenneth (Sandra) Lust of Sycamore; a daughter, Sharon (Michael) Schnell of New Bremen; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Orrin Lust of Upper Sandusky and Calvin (Mary) Lust of Sycamore; and a sister, Alice (Don) Hieber of Bloomville.
Luther also was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Kathryn Breidenbach.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II with the 93rd Ordinance Maintenance Co. in the European and North African Theaters.
His funeral is 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Nevada Lutheran Church, Nevada, with the Rev. Chelsea Spencer and Gene Luidhardt, SAM, officiating. Burial will follow at Oceola Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Monday at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky and one hour prior to his funeral Tuesday at the church.
