Florence M. Brubaker

Florence M. Brubaker, 87, resident of Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Fostoria, and formerly of TR 33, Fostoria, died Thursday, June 28, 2012, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home.

She was born Aug. 19, 1924, in Fostoria, to Roy and Ida (Mender) Myers. She married Vincent J. Brubaker Dec. 30, 1944, in Fostoria, and he survives.

Also surviving are her son, John (Pamela) Brubaker of Batavia and a granddaughter, Melissa Brubaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Helen Stearns, Gladys Havens and Dorothy Cochran.

Florence was a homemaker and graduated in 1942 from Jackson Liberty High School. She attended church at Rehoboth Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher. She also was a member of the Seneca County Farm Bureau. Florence loved music, played piano and sang for weddings and also enjoyed sewing and needlepoint.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, 301 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, with Pastor Dan Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
