Save-A-Lot, 895 N. Countyline St., has been acquired by Miller Family Grocers of Bryan.
The Millers also acquired a Save-A-Lot in Kenton.
Grand reopening events and specials are planned beginning 8 a.m. July 2.
The grocery stores based in St. Louis, Mo., and a division of Supervalu, are described in a news release as some of the nation's leading hard discount, limited-assortment grocery chains.
"The Save-A-Lot stores will continue to offer the Kenton and Fostoria communities affordable, easy access to food and groceries," the news release states. "Shoppers will also now find fresh meat at these locations, and produce will be purchased from local growers whenever possible."
"Save-A-Lot is committed to serving Ohio communities and providing access to fresh produce, meat and groceries at great prices," said Jeff Miller, who is the new owner along with son Adam. "We're proud to be a member of these communities and look forward to continuing to provide high-quality options for budget-conscious shoppers in Kenton and Fostoria."
Some new features are to be in-store butchers and meat cutters and a "Pick 5" program in which shoppers can buy a selection of specially marked packages of fresh, smoked or frozen meat for $19.99.
The stores will be open 8 a.m.-9 p.m. seven days a week.
