BELLEVUE - Families can get around the distance and expense of amusement parks by taking advantage of the rides at the Bellevue Community Days Festival. Big "O" Amusement Co. is to set up 12 mechanical rides, including a recently refurbished ferris wheel, for the festival.
The rides are to be open 5-11 p.m. today, Friday and Saturday. Rates for the Big "O" Rides are to be $15 for a ride wristband, good on all the rides, or tickets can be purchased for single rides at $1 each with rides each taking a certain number of the $1 tickets.
Saturday, which is Kids' Day, children can purchase a wristband for $8 that is good for 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. Wristbands for mechanical rides will be different from the

Extreme interactive rides are to premier at the festival tonight.
The Mobile Zipline Adventure is 30 feet tall and 135 feet long. It will not be available Saturday.
The Vertical Adventure Wall is a mobile climbing wall with an automatic safety system. This ride allows up to four people to compete simultaneously while an electronic timer system makes each climb more competitive. Participants are fitted with safety harnesses and inspected and supervised by an attendant.
The Extreme Trampoline can propel jumpers up to 24 feet in the air. The trampoline allows safe jumps and stunts, all with supervision.
The Alien Laser Tag blow-up structure is to be available Saturday only. Participants enter the inflatable laser tag space maze after being outfitted with laser sensor systems and laser blasters.
This 40- by 40- by 18-foot inflatable also produces the sounds of the laser blast and the laser sensors throughout the game as scoring packs calculate scores for each player.
Extreme ride rates are $20 for a wristband or $5 each 5-11 p.m. today and Friday.
