Rita A. Meyers, 83, of Republic, died Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.
She was born July 8, 1928, in Gibsonburg, to Carl and Anna (Wershing) Bauer. She married Floyd A. Meyers June 17, 1950, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Gibsonburg, and he preceded her in death in 2008.
She is survived by four sons, Carl A. (Donna), Gary F. (Karen), Paul G. (Jeanette) and Albert L. (Maureen) all of Republic; three daughters, Karen A. (Stephen) Swartz of Tiffin, Kay A. (Bill) Tate of Republic and Lori A. (Ken) Rakes of Clyde; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Melva Rodgers, and an infant grandson.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2012, at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue.
Her funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Gaspar del Bufalo, 16209 E. CR 46, Bellevue. Burial will follow at Reed Assumption Cemetery, Bellevue.
Memorials may be made to St. Gaspar del Bufalo Church or Sorrowful Mother Shrine.
