Beverly J. Gottfried, 60, of Upper Sandusky, died Friday, June 22, 2012, at her mother's home in Upper Sandusky after a courageous battle with ALS.
She was born July 27, 1951, in Marion, to Howard and Juanita (Kauble) Rieser. She married Ronald Gottfried July 2, 1971, and he survives.
Also surviving are her mother, Juanita of Upper Sandusky; two children, Jennifer (James) Ruhlen and Brian (Jandie) Gottfried both of Upper Sandusky; three grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; two brothers, Mark Rieser of Upper Sandusky and Jonathan (Jane) Rieser of Harpster; and two sisters, Barbara Treadway of Upper Sandusky and Marianne Ulrich of Severance, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Her funeral is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Upper Sandusky, with the Rev. Joe Trester and the Rev. Jim Stauffer officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Upper Sandusky.
Visitations is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky and one hour before the funeral Tuesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials made be given to Hospice of Wyandot County or the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Research Association in care of Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 476 S. Sandusky Ave., Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
