Emma Jean (Brown) Oakleaf, 78, of Tiffin, died at 1:53 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at Bridge Hospice Center, Findlay.
Emma was born July 31, 1933, in Whitesburg, Ky., to James and Lola (Adams) Brown.
Emma is survived by her four children, Kenneth C. Brown of Delaware, Vernon E. Terry Jr. of Tiffin, Mary J. Thacker of Norman, Okla., and Patricia D. Bryon of Old Fort; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three brothers, James Carlos "Rudy" Brown, Danny Brown and Rick Brown, all of Tiffin; and five sisters, Janice Cogar of Tiffin, Carolyn Hickman of Clyde and Sandra Kissell, Karen Tate and Shelia Merchant, all of Tiffin.

Emma worked at Tiffin Developmental Center. She enjoyed playing bingo, working with crafts and shopping at Goodwill. Emma also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Vernon Terry Sr., John Hepp, William Keckler Sr. and Robert Oakleaf; a grandson; a great-granddaughter; two brothers, Harold and Bob Brown; and two sisters, Shirley Halcomb and Kathryn Tyree.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Seneca Memory Gardens, rural Tiffin.
Visitation for family and friends will be 10-11:15 a.m. Saturday at Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory, 135 N. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-1221.
