Tiffin reports

Two bad checks were reported Wednesday afternoon in the 200 block of Sixth Avenue.

A 200-block North Sandusky Street caller reported Wednesday afternoon shingles were stolen from a house.

A bicycle was reported stolen Wednesday evening in the first block of Coe Street.

A 100-block Main Street woman reported Wednesday evening she found her house broken into a few nights ago.

A 100-block South Sandusky Street man reported Wednesday evening he found the locks cut off on his garage door.

A first-block Noble Street man reported Wednesday night another man assaulted him. He had also reported the same man assaulted him earlier in the day.

County reports

A man reported Wednesday evening his father's residence in the 15000 block of East CR 34 was broken into and equipment was taken.

A man went to the station Thursday afternoon to report his son had been stealing from him for two years.

Fostoria reports

A 600-block Northview Drive woman reported Wednesday night her back door had been broken.

A juvenile was arrested early Thursday morning after a shoplifter was reported at Kroger, 126 W. High St.

A man reported early Thursday morning he was assaulted by a group of people in the area of McDougal and North Town streets. The man was dropped off at his sister's house and charges are pending.

A 200-block West Crocker Street woman reported early Thursday morning a man was on her porch looking into a window and jiggling a door handle. Police were unable to locate the man.

A 300-block West Fremont Street woman reported early Thursday morning her garage was broken into and cars were entered. Various items were taken.

A 200-block North Union Street woman reported Thursday morning her garage was broken into overnight. Nothing was taken.

An 800-block Cory Street woman reported Thursday morning someone had been going through her unlocked car and put a hole in one of its tires.

A 500-block Monroe Street man reported Thursday morning someone went through his car overnight and items were missing. Cars in the 1000 block of Kennedy Lane and the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue also were reported entered.

A bicycle was reported stolen Thursday afternoon in the 700 block of Spruce Street.

A caller from Rite Aid, 113 N. Countyline St., reported Thursday afternoon a juvenile stole from the store more than a week ago.

State Patrol

Larry K. Shrode, 55, of Tiffin, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and operating a vehicle while intoxicated Thursday.

Firefighters were called to 180 Summit St. Wednesday afternoon for an unintentional alarm system activation.

Firefighters were called to 545 W. Market St. Wednesday afternoon for an unintentional smoke detector activation.

Firefighters were called to 45 St. Lawrence Drive Wednesday evening for a smoke detector activation due to a malfunction.

Firefighters were called to 25 Shaffer Park Drive Wednesday evening for a brush fire.

County fire

Bascom firefighters were called to West SR 18 Wednesday night for an accident.

NBS firefighters were called to West TR 96 Thursday afternoon for a lift assist.
