A Fostoria man was killed early Wednesday morning after his pickup truck collided head-on with a semi on US 6 near Helena.
State Patrol Trooper Jordan Schwochow said Roberto Garcia, 35, was killed after his 2005 Dodge Ram crossed the center line on US 6 near milepost 9 and collided head-on with a 2004 International semi tractor trailer driven by Larry Rohe, 40, of Sycamore.
Schwochow said the accident occurred around 2 a.m.
Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene and Rohe was transported to a hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.
A passenger in Rohe's semi was not injured.
Schwochow said all involved were wearing seat belts at the time of the
accident.
