Landowners are reminded to certify Conservation Reserve Program acreage before July 15 by stopping at the Farm Service Agency office.
This is a requirement of 10- or 15-year CRP contracts to assure acreage is maintained and set aside as part of the contract.
In the past, FSA has mailed the form for a signature. Due to budget cutbacks, the office is not able to mail forms this year.
Failure to certify will result in a late file fee of $46 per farm. The October payment will not be issued until acres are certified.
