Farmers can nominate eligible peers as candidates for election to the Seneca County Farm Service Agency County Committee through Aug. 1.
For election purposes, counties are divided into local administrative areas, or LAAs and each LAA selects one producer to serve a three-year term.
Each year, an election takes place to replace the committee member whose three-year term is expiring. This year, a representative is to be selected from the townships of Bloom, Clinton, Eden, Pleasant and Seneca.
FSA is looking for individuals interested in serving on the county committee. Any eligible person residing in one of the townships or who would like to nominate an individual must complete a nomination form. Forms are available at the Seneca County FSA
office or at www.fsa.usda.gov/oh. The document is under the "I Want To" section on the right side of the screen.
