Donald R. Arnold, 62, of East TR 28, Tiffin, died at 2 a.m. Monday, June 18, 2012, at home.
He was born Nov. 4, 1949, in Fostoria, to Robert and Eleanor (Strait) Arnold Fourman. His father died at an early age and he was raised with his mother and stepfather, Franklin Fourman, who died in 1998. His mother survives in Groveport. He married Monica Valdez Arnold Jan. 10, 1970, in North Chicago, Ill., and she survives.
Also surviving are children, Joseph P. (Kendra) Arnold of Kenosha, Wis., Kelly Ann (Andrew) Burns of Silver Lake, Wis., and Danielle Marie (Daniel) Lange of Tiffin; 10 grandchildren, Trevor and Tanner Arnold, Spencer and Isabelle Burns, Nolan and Ava Wright and Nichole, Kyler, Gage and Bryce Lange; one brother, Charles Arnold of Garner, N.C.; and one sister, Theresa (Daniel) Burch of Columbus.

He also was preceded in death by one brother, Steven Fourman.
Donald worked in mechanical maintenance for an electric company and also was a certified welder. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Sycamore, where at one time he served on the church's parish council. He was a 1967 graduate of Reynoldsburg High School, where he played in the band and was an excellent trombone player. He was a former member of Hopewell-Loudon Grange. He started the shuttle service at the Seneca County Fair. He also was an avid John Wayne collector. Don also proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1967-1970.
A memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2012, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Sycamore, with the Rev. Gary Walters officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 20 at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore.
