A group home resident who reportedly assaulted three other residents and a worker with a candlestick holder earlier this month has been charged with attempted murder and felonious assault in Seneca County Common Pleas Court.
Jack R. Berry, 32, was indicted on two counts of attempted murder, a first-degree felony, and four counts of felonious assault, a second-degree felony, last week.
Berry was arrested June 4 at an adult group home on Wentz Street after he allegedly attacked a female worker and three residents with a wrought iron candlestick holder, causing serious head and hand injuries.
The victims were all transported to Mercy Tiffin Hospital where two were then taken by Life Flight to a Toledo Hospital.
A spokeswoman from Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Michael Kelbley's courtroom said Berry's bond has been set at $500,000.
