A group home resident who reportedly assaulted three other residents and a worker with a candlestick holder earlier this month has been charged with attempted murder and felonious assault in Seneca County Common Pleas Court.

Jack R. Berry, 32, was indicted on two counts of attempted murder, a first-degree felony, and four counts of felonious assault, a second-degree felony, last week.

Berry was arrested June 4 at an adult group home on Wentz Street after he allegedly attacked a female worker and three residents with a wrought iron candlestick holder, causing serious head and hand injuries.
