A woman who was taken by Life Flight from the scene of a single-vehicle accident in Liberty Township Saturday remained hospitalized at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo Sunday evening.
Leticia N. Lopez, 23, of Fostoria, was in good condition, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Michael G. Kreais Jr., 34, of Bellevue, a passenger in the 2002 Ford Explorer that Lopez was driving, also was taken by Life Flight from the scene. A spokesman at University of Toledo Medical Center said he could not confirm or deny information regarding Kreais Sunday evening.
A State Highway Patrol spokeswoman said Lopez was driving the vehicle northeast-bound on SR 12. The vehicle went off the left side of the road, re-entered the road, overturned onto its left side and slid off the right side of the road and into a ditch. It overturned several times before coming to rest in a field, she said.
The spokeswoman said at least one person was thrown from the vehicle. Lopez was wearing a seatbelt and Kreais was not, she said.
No charges or citations had been issued Sunday evening.
Personnel from Bascom EMS, Fostoria Fire Division, Fostoria Police Department, Kansas Fire Department, Seneca County's Echo Unit and Seneca County Sheriff's Office responded to the accident, which was reported around 4:15 p.m. Saturday.
