A crash early Saturday morning in Big Spring Township in Seneca County claimed the life of an Alvada man.
According to a press release from the Fremont Post of the State Highway Patrol, Jeffrey Kinn, 50, of Alvada, was driving a 1996 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck westbound on TR 56, when he went off the right side of the road and struck a traffic sign. The vehicle then drove back onto the roadway, went off the left side of the road, and overturned, striking a utility pole. The driver was partially ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the press release.
The release also stated Kinn was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, which occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m.
The crash remained under investigation Saturday afternoon.
