Stephanie Anne Shine and John Christopher Herrington, both of Delaware, Ohio, have announced their engagement.
The bride is the daughter of David and Barb Shine of Fostoria and Lou Ann Shine of New Riegel. She graduated in 2007 from Defiance College with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and is a deputy sheriff in Delaware County.
The groom, the son of John W. Herrington of Vermillion and Rebecca Allendorfer of Cleveland, graduated in 1997 from Cuyahoga Community College with the police academy. He also is a deputy sheriff in Delaware County.
