Vasiliki K. "Betty" Poravas, 98, died Thursday, June 7, 2012, at Birchaven Village, Findlay, where she resided.
She was born Oct. 1, 1913, in Larissa, Greece, to Vasili and Eleni (Blahavas) Karabatsas. She married Milton Poravas June 24, 1932, and he died April 11, 1986.
Surviving are cousins, George, Sandy, William and Nicholas Kentris, and niece, Andronica Cass Maget.
Her funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2012, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Toledo, with the Rev. Aristotle Damaskos presiding.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia.
