Marjorie Alice Jopp (Magers) Haas

Marjorie Haas, 91, of Tiffin, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012, at Mercy Tiffin Hospital, just five days before her 92nd birthday.

She was born Jan. 6, 1920, in Pleasant Township, the daughter of the late O. Robert and Pearl Alta (Palmer) Jopp. Marjorie was a 1937 graduate of Old Fort High School, a member of the American Legion Auxilary and St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin. She married Berdell Magers Sept.16, 1937, they later divorced and he preceded her in death Nov. 28, 1995. She then married Glen Haas June 20, 1976, at Hayes Memorial United Methodist Church, Fremont, and he preceded her in death Nov. 26, 2006.

Marjorie was retired from Peter Eckrich Co. She loved animals, music, dancing, flower gardening, playing cards and watching birds.

Surviving are her five children, Patricia (John) Buskirk of Tiffin, John (Debra) Magers of Denver, Colo., James Magers of Scottsboro, Ala., Michael Magers of Denver, Colo., and Stephen Magers of Tiffin; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Memorial will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, June 8, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, with Fr. Joseph Szybka officiating. Interment will follow at Green Springs Cemetery followed by a memorial luncheon at the Rangers Camp.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Friedman Village/St. Francis Assisted Living of Tiffin or the Humane Society of Seneca County.
