Bernice E. Bridinger, 84, of Tiffin, died Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Mercy Tiffin Hospital.
Bernice was born March 27, 1928, to the late Edward and Hilda (Smith) Distel. She married Billy J. Bridinger at St. Joseph Catholic Church Feb. 12, 1947, and he preceded her in death.
Bernice is survived by her children, David (Louise) Bridinger of Florida, Richard (Mary) Bridinger of Bloomville, Hilda Dingus of Tiffin, Virginia Adams of Lisbon and Christine (Delmar Nichol) Feasel of Tiffin; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dean Distel of Tiffin.

Bernice was a homemaker and a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tiffin. She was a former member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Moose.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son-in-law, Cliff Adams; two brothers, Herbert and Paul Distel; a sister, Dolores Karcher Hess; and a great-grandson, William Vance.
There will be a graveside service at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, with the Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating, when Bernice and Billy's ashes will be laid to rest together. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.
