FREMONT - The second edition of the 2012 "Tuning Up For Food" concert series and food drives is to take place Saturday and Sunday at Sandusky County Fairgrounds, Fremont. It is to include a special tribute to long-time area musician, the late Jim "Hoss" Adams.

Area musicians and entertainers are to take the stage 1-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday to benefit the Sandusky County Food Pantry. The family-friendly shows are free and in conjunction with the Sandusky County Flea Market.

Non-perishable food donations are requested, but monetary donations also are to be accepted.

Lori Willey, winner of the 2011 “Fremont’s Got Talent,” is to entertain during Saturday’s benefit at the Sandusky County Fairgrounds.

Those making a donation will be entered into drawings for gift certificates and prizes donated by area businesses. Also included in the drawings are a pair of one-day passes to the 2012 Sandusky County Fair, as well as tickets to some of the fair's grandstand entertainment, donated by the Sandusky County Agricultural Society.

Saturday's 1 p.m. show is to feature performances by area singers Samantha Kuns, Gabriel and The Grove and the 2011 "Fremont's Got Talent" winner, Lori Willey.

Sunday, Adams' former bandmates are to take the stage to pay tribute to him. He died unexpectedly in January at age 46. Tribute organizers said Adams had donated many hours performing for many charities and benefits, including the 2009 and 2010 Tuning Up For Food events.

Those attending are invited to bring lawn chairs or other seating. Food and refreshments are to be available.
