FOSTORIA - Fire caused an estimated $50,000 in damage to a Fostoria home early Sunday morning.
According to a Fostoria Fire Division report, firefighters responded to 568 Spruce St. at 12:32 a.m. Sunday for a report of smoke coming from the residence. Upon arrival, they found moderate smoke coming from available exit points, it states.
Lt. Brian Herbert said Sunday afternoon the cause was under investigation.
"(It is) undetermined but believed to be electrical," he said.
Herbert said the two-story house was unoccupied at the time of the fire, and officials were told the owners were in Florida. The property is owned by Oscar Cabrales, according to the Seneca County Auditor's Office website.
Herbert said the house sustained heavy fire damage and had smoke damage throughout it. No one was injured, he said.
An officer from Fostoria Police Department also responded to the scene, according to a police department report.
