Farmer’s market to focus on youth

FOSTORIA - This Saturday is Kids' Day 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Fostoria Farmers Market. Vendors are to set up at the downtown KeyBank, 133 W. Tiffin St, Fostoria. There are to be activities for children to do while their parents are shopping. The Fostoria Garden Club, Fostoria Arts Council, YMCA, Girl Scouts, Kaubisch Memorial Library, St. Wendelin PTO and First Federal Bank plan to have activities for children. Six members from the Fostoria Community Band also are to perform 10:30 a.m.-noon. Vendors are to include Susie Q Farms canned beef; Edible Art Chocolates; Premiere Jewelry; Nonnie's Goodies; Pampered Chef; Avon; Tupperware; Painted Panes; Scentsy; Buggy Whip Bakery; North Branch Nursery; Harvest Moon Popcorn; Tasty Dogs; Linda's chair massage; Conines Country Market; Rimelspach Farms; Twin Oaks Hydroponics; and Joseph's Greenhouse. Baked goods, handmade crafts and jewelry, birdhouses, barn siding gifts, doggie treats and pottery are to be available, along with locally-grown strawberries, lettuces and herbs.
