Phil and Marlene Goist of rural Carey celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a party May 6, 2012, hosted by their family.
Phil, the son of the late Philip and Dolly Goist, and Marlene, the daughter of the late Orve and Geneva Bare, married May 12, 1962, at Christ Lutheran Church, Carey. The Rev. George Cressman officiated.
They are the parents of Gene and Nicky Goist of Sycamore and a deceased son, Steven Michael. Two granddaughters complete their family.
