Tiffin

North Coast Concert Band is to play June 3 for the first concert in the annual PNC Bank Summer Concert Series. Concerts take place in the pavilion at Hedges-Boyer Park.

Other concerts in the series include Fostoria Community Band June 10, Rusty Vinyl July 4, Frank & Dean (Rat Pack duo) July 15, Spittin' Image July 29 and Green Springs Band Aug. 5.

The first Planned Leisure Activities for Youth Day of the summer season is scheduled 1-2 p.m. June 6 at Oakley Park.

PLAY Days include organized games, crafts and activities for children in neighborhood parks. Parents, grandparents or childcare providers are encouraged to participate and should stay with children during activities.

Seneca County

A National Trails Day hike for all ages is planned for 9 a.m. June 2 at Clinton Nature Preserve, and toddlers ages 12-36 months with an adult companion are invited to learn about bugs at 4:30 p.m. June 6 at Steyer Nature Preserve.

Sandusky County

Moonlight canoeing is planned June 3-5 in the Sandusky County Park District. Registered people should meet at 8:30 p.m. at the park office, 1970 Countryside Place, Fremont.

Open to those 18 and older, register with a partner at (419) 334-4495.

Tom Sawyer Days are to take place 1-3 p.m. June 8, 15, 22 and 29 at Creek Bend Farm, 654 S. Main St., Lindsey.

Designed for children ages 6-12, each Friday kids can read a chapter about the adventures of Tom Sawyer and participate in an activity similar to the story.

Hancock County

Hancock Park District's Zonta Landing Boat Rental Concession welcomes visitors as it opens for the season Saturday through Monday.

Park visitors are invited to tour "Down by the Old Mill Steam" to see wildflowers and wildlife along the banks of the historic Blanchard River by canoe, kayak or pedal boat. Normal hours are 1-7 p.m. weekends and holidays through Labor Day.

Rates are $5 per half-hour. A $1 coupon can

be downloaded from www.hancockparks.com.
