Doyle Hatlay, 81, of Bellevue, died Sunday, May 20, 2012, at Bellevue Care Center. Doyle was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean conflict.
Mr. Hatlay was born Sept. 24, 1930, in Tioga, W.Va., to Joseph Blake and Verla (Woodall) Hatlay. He married Helen Mae Heishman March 19, 1954, and she died Jan. 6, 2008.
Survivors include eight children, Gary Hatlay, Ruth Keegan, Terry Curless, Carolyn (Jerry) Fazio, David (Sharon) Hatlay and James Hatlay, all of Clyde, and Rick (Mary) Hatlay and Robert Hatlay of Bellevue; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Linda Kessler of Webster Springs, W.Va., and Jackson Hatlay of Illinois.
He also was preceded in death by his parents; one grandchild; and one great-grandson.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde.
His funeral is 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at McPherson Cemetery, Clyde, with military graveside honors provided by Clyde VFW and American Legion.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
