Herman and Gerry Fredritz will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary beginning with a 10 a.m. Mass Sunday, May 20, 2012, at Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church, Carey, followed by a family luncheon hosted by their children.
They were married May 17, 1947, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, by the Rev. Cornelius Heringhaus.
Herman is the son of the late John and Matilda (Reinhart) Fredritz. He is retired from farming.

Gerry is the daughter of the late Urban and Irene (Kurtz) Steinmetz. She is a retired cake decorator and homemaker.
They are parents of seven children, Ruth (Bernie) Gosche and Susie (Jerry) Kelbley of Tiffin, Dave (Maryann) Fredritz of Carey, Dan (Karen) Fredritz of Bluffton, Nancy (Tom) Parker of Kenton, Judy (Ed) Myers of Alvada and Christine Fredritz of Fostoria. They have 24 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren who complete their family.
