Pinch hit Sauers St. Joe's win hopes
FREMONT - Caitlin Sauers helped break open a close game with a pinch-hit, three-run double Friday as Seneca East dropped Midland Athletic League foe Fremont St. Joe, 9-3.
Seneca East (14-10, 7-3 MAL) took a 3-0 lead in the top of the first, thanks in large part to Samantha Walker's two-run homer.
But the Crimson Streaks tied the game by the end of the second inning and kept the Tigers in check for the next three innings.
