Mickanna "Mickey" (Maksemetz) Choitz-Brayfield, 57, of Marshfield, Mo., and formerly Tiffin, died Sunday, May 6, 2012, after a long battle with cancer.
She was born in Detroit, Mich., to the late Peter Maksemetz and late Joeula (Evans) Hunter. She first married Glen Choitz Aug. 13, 1978, in Memphis, Tenn., and they later divorced. She then married Ricky Brayfield Sr. in 1993 and he survives her in Marshfield.
She also is survived by two sons, Keith (Mindy) Choitz of New Douglas, Ill., and Eric (Stephanie) Choitz of Marshfield; two stepsons, Ricky Brayfield Jr. of Aurora, Mo., and Kevin Brayfield of Marshfield; three brothers, Ken (Sue) Trice of Houston, Texas, Joe (Joyce) Trice of Greenwood, Ind., and Martin (Connie) Maksemetz of Tiffin; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents and stepparents.
Graveside services, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield, are at 2 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2012, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield.
