Delia Shirley (Fant) Fairley, 88, died Sunday, May 6, 2012, at Lutheran Memorial Home, Sandusky.
She was born Feb. 29, 1924, in Spartanburg County, S.C., Jesse and Ella (McBeth) Fant.
She is survived by eight children, the Rev. Thomas H. (Toni) Fant, Andrew E. Fant, Charleen A. Campbell, Frances K. Johnnansan, Spencer R. Fairley, Duane A. Fairley, Christine L. "Jeannie" (Ray) Morgart and Christina L. "Janie" (Keith) Cooper; 12 grandchildren; one adopted granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Cleo C. Tucker, Ida Mae Floyd, Virginia E. Fant, Mary Louise Ferguson and Lucy Fant (infant); four brothers, Jesse Fant Jr. (infant), J.W. Fant, Andrew Fant and Thomas Fant; a son at birth; two grandsons; a great-granddaughter; and ex-husband, Charles L. Fairley.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012, at Mann-Hare-Hoening Funeral Home, 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria.
Her funeral is noon Friday at Faith Chapel A.M.E. Church, Fostoria, with the Rev. Thomas H. Fant and the Rev. Archie White officiating. Committal services and burial will follow at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.
