O. James Schwochow, 89, of Vickery, died Friday, May 4, 2012, at The Bellevue Hospital.
He was born Nov. 13, 1992, in Vickery, to William and Rosa (White) Schwochow.
He married Jane Filson March 16, 1944, and she preceded him in death March 22, 1973. He married Gladine (Marschke) Montgomery Dec. 30,1977, and she survives.
Also surviving are four children, Judith (Don) McEowen of Sandusky, John (Linda) Schwochow of Vickery, John (Judy) Schwochow of Williard and Joyce Himes of Norwalk; five stepchildren, Robert (Linda) Montgomery of Dayton, Jack (Martha) Montgomery of Clyde, Janet (Steve) Hall of Sandusky, Susan (Todd) Spence of McConnesville and Tim (Deb) Montgomery of Lebanon, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and a brother, Norman (Pearl) Schwochow of Clyde.
He was preceded in death by his parents; seven siblings, Albert Schwochow, Esther Wott, Burton Schwochow, Eric Schwochow, Roy White, William Schwochow and Nelson White; and a grandson.
Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde. His funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Vickery, with the Rev. David Klappenbach officiating. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or to the building fund at the church.
