SANDUSKY - Joe Brodman won a pair of individual events, and Calvert's boys won six overall to take the Northwest Ohio Catholic School Association meet with 162 points. The Senecas outdistanced Norwalk St. Paul by 40 points.
St. Wendelin finished fifth at the event, tied with Cardinal Stritch with 27 points.
Brodman won the 1,600 in 4:48, the 3,200 in 10:42, and was part of the winning 4x800 team, along with Jared Thompson, Ren Boehler and Stephen Smith (8:35.6).
Boehler won the 400 in 53.3. Shane Boehler won the 200 in 23.3. Both of them were on Calvert's winning 4x200 team, along with Nate Ritzler and Smith.

SANDUSKY -St. Wendelin's Kayla Kirk won the 1,600 meter run, and took second in the 3,200, leading the Mohawks to to fourth-place finish on the girls side of the Northwest Ohio Catholic Schools Association meet at Strobel Field in Sandusky.
Kirk won the 1,600 in 5:31, and came in second in the 3,200 in 13:17. In the 3,200, she trailed only teammate Jocelyn Reinhart, who finished in 13:09.
St. Wendelin also got a win from Becca Starn, who won the high jump in 5-0, a school record.
Fremont St. Joe won the meet with 121 points, while Calvert placed fifth with 43 points.
Calvert's lone win at the meet came in the 4x800, where the team of Marisa Horn, Lauren Reineke, Abby Sullivan and Olivia Smith won in 10:45.
Smith also finished second in the 800 in 2:21.
SE boys, Carey girls win at Riverdale
MOUNT BLANCHARD -Each of the area schools took home a team victory at the Riverdale Invitational.
Seneca East's boys won their side of the meet, with 124 points. Carey's girls won that side with 94 points.
In the boys events, Carey won the long jump in 51-11 1/2, with the team of Cory Larick, Grant Wentling and Zach Logsdon.
Seneca East results were unavailable.
For the girls, Carey's team of Orianna Billock, Monique Altvater and and Paige Roszman won the long jump relay. The Blue Devils' Billock, Altvater and Dana Newell won the triple jump in 89-11 1/4. Carey teams also won the 800 relay and the thrower's relay.
