Betty Jane Burkett, 90, of Colorado Springs, Colo., and formerly rural Fostoria, died Monday, April 30, 2012, at Pike's Peak Care & Rehab Center.
She was born March 10, 1922, in Findlay, to the late Clarence and Gladys (Davies) Scott. She married Earl Edward Burkett Oct. 21, 1944, in Bloomdale, and he preceded her in death Oct. 18, 1965.
Surviving is a son, Benjamin (Bobbie) Burkett of Wauseon; a daughter, Deborah "Debbie" (Robert) Babcock of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother, E.F. "Bud" Scott of Van Wert; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Kathleen Guilford of Sherwood.
Her funeral is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with the Rev. Beth Zuehlke officiating. Burial will follow at Arcadia Cemetery, Arcadia.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today, May 4, and one hour prior to her funeral Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
