The Museum Docents and the Seneca County Historical Society are to host "Della's Tea" 1-3 p.m. May 12 in the Fort Ball Room at the Seneca County Museum.
Guests are invited to enjoy a luncheon and hear Della Shawhan Laird describe her life as the second wife of Tiffin's first millionaire and her many local philanthropic projects. "Della" will be dressed appropriately for her presentation in original and authentic clothes from the late 19th century.
The cost is $15.
After the luncheon, docents are to offer tours of Della's former home, the current Seneca County Museum at 28 Clay St.
In addition, the special exhibit "Wedding Gowns Through the Ages" has been extended and will be available for viewing.
Luncheon reservations are required and can be made by calling (419) 448-0074 by May 9.
