Marjorie "Marge" M. King, 83, of Ball-
ville Township, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012, at Countryside Continuing Care Center, Fremont.
She was born Dec. 26, 1928, in Tiffin, to Harry and Lela (Hunker) Fretz. She was a 1946 graduate of Republic High School.
Marge first married Maurice "Mutt" King Aug. 19, 1950, and he preceded her in death June 11, 1981. She then met the second love of her life, fiance John E. Gressman and they have been together since 1984.
Marge worked for Fremont Rubber Co. for more than 15 years until they closed. She then worked as a slicer at Peter Eckrich Co. and retired in 1986. She was a member of Hayes Memorial United Methodist Church and the American Legion. Marge loved fishing, crossword puzzles, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She also bowled for many years.
Marge is survived by her fiance, John E. Gressman of Ballville Township; a daughter, Terrye (Tyler) Kolbe of Fremont; two stepchildren, John A. (Cathy) Gressman and Mark (Luann) Gressman, both of Clyde; two grandchildren, Derek Kolbe, Marlie (Derek Rotondo) Kolbe; eight stepgrandchildren, Cheryl (Brian) Hummel, Scott (Michelle) Gressman, Sara (Pat) Swander, Max Gressman, Kevin Gressman, Jenny (Jerry) Bupp, Lindsay (John) Biggs and David Combs; and several stepgreat-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Fretz; and granddaughter, Dina Kolbe.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont.
Her funeral is noon Thursday, May 3, at the funeral home with Pastor Alan Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde.
