The mission of Youth Advisory Council of Tiffin Charitable Foundation is to become educated about community needs and how members can help meet them by observing local non-profit organizations and taking part in the grant-making process.
Members are Brianna Twigg, senior, Bettsville High School; Lauren Reineke, senior, Calvert High School; Grant Gase, senior, and Christopher Daniel, junior, Columbian High School; Brandon Wise, senior, and Marissa Reinhart, junior, Hopewell-Loudon High School; Erika Coldiron, senior, and Tyler Krupp, junior, Mohawk High School; Benjamin Clouse, senior, New Riegel High School; Olivia Burke, senior, Old Fort High School; and Brooke Siesel, senior, and Riley Wagner, junior, Seneca East High School. The administrator is Debbie Gerschutz.
Recipients of grants made from The White Fund of Tiffin Charitable Foundation are Franciscan Earth Literacy Center for transportation of school partnership program students, Seneca County Youth Center for rehabilitation and programming materials, Camp Fire USA Camp Glen for high ropes course materials, Out & About Preschool Seneca County Park District, for gardening supplies, ecumenical sharing kitchen at St. Paul's United Methodist Church for Christmas in June and beef for meals, and New Riegel Local Schools District for technology in the classroom. Grants totaled $9,000.
