A $65 gasoline drive-off was reported Friday afternoon in the 200 block of North Sandusky Street. According to the report, there was paper over the vehicle's license plate.

A 100-block East Market Street caller reported Friday afternoon being harassed by a male subject.

A caller in the 100 block of South Monroe reported Friday a female subject was harassing him.

A 400-block West Market Street caller reported Friday afternoon a neon sign had been broken.

A first-block South Washington Street caller reported Friday evening his apartment was entered and a wallet was stolen.

A caller in the 200 block of North Sandusky Street reported Friday evening his apartment was entered, but he wasn't aware if anything was missing.

A caller reported Friday a male subject in the vicinity of Rebecca Street and Hedges Street was asking girls for their phone numbers.

Bethany Brown, 24, of Tiffin, was charged with theft Friday night.

Harassing phone calls were reported early Saturday morning at Hall and Franklin streets.

A 100-block North Monroe Street caller reported early Saturday morning a male was walking with a flashlight in the alley, then ran from the area. Police were unable to locate anyone.

Police were out with subjects early Saturday morning in the first block of Madison Street. According to the report, damage was done to a vehicle.

A 100-block Gross Street caller reported early Saturday morning it sounded like someone had tried to open her door. Police were unable to locate anyone.

Bret Mathias, 21, of New Riegel, was charged early Saturday morning with operating a vehicle under the influence and driving on the right side.

A caller in the 100 block of West Davis Street. reported Saturday morning a residence was broken into and a purse and lunch bag had been found in the back yard. According to the report, $62 was missing.

The theft of chainsaws was reported Saturday morning in the 8000 block of North SR 53.

A caller in the 400 block of Columbus Avenue reported Friday the theft of items while at work.

A 300-block East High caller reported Friday night a window was broken.

A 200-block East North Street caller reported Friday night getting unwanted text messages.

A caller in the 100 block of East South Street reported early Saturday morning someone broke out the back window.

A 500-block South Wood Street caller reported Saturday morning someone broke into her residence through the back door. According to the report, a rock was thrown through one window, and a block was thrown through another window. Entry was made, but the resident scared off the subject. The incident was under investigation.

A 400-block West Lytle caller reported Saturday afternoon her purse was taken.

Tiffin accidents

An accident was reported Friday afternoon in the 1000 block of West Market Street.

A non-injury accident occurred Friday afternoon in the 400 block of Wentz Street. A citation was issued for assured clear distance ahead.

A stop sign citation was issued Friday evening after a non-injury accident at Beachwood and Teakwood drives.

An accident occurred Friday night at West Perry and Elmer streets. There were no injuries, and citations were issued for assured clear distance ahead and driving under suspension.

Fostoria accident

Police stopped a semi truck Friday evening at South Main and East Sixth streets after it drove through a yard.

Firefighters were called to 137 Oakley Meadow Lane Friday night for a sprinkler that activated due to a malfunction.

Firefighters responded to a mock crash drill Friday afternoon at 1001 Park Ave.

Firefighters responded to 720 Chesapeake Court Friday evening for a fire alarm. The alarm had been pulled.

Firefighters were called to 561 Bulgar Ave. Friday evening for open burning.

A porch fire was reported Saturday morning at 723 N. Union. Firefighters found smoldering mulch in front of the house.

Casey P.
