NEW?RIEGEL?- Four New Riegel Village Council members met with Mayor Larry Bouillon and Solicitor Rick Palau for a special session Wednesday evening to approve an ordinance authorizing the inclusion of the territory within the village into Seneca County's sewer district.
The vote passed 3-1, with Lenny Theis casting the dissenting vote.
The ordinance had been requested by the county's bond counsel to include the territory in the village. Council granted the Seneca County Board of Commissioners authority to proceed with all actions necessary to provide sewer service to the village.
Council is to meet next at 6:30 p.m. May 15.
