A Bloomville woman arrested last month following a high-speed chase appeared in court Wednesday where she pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to multiple charges.

Mary Jane Orona, 42, entered an oral plea of not guilty by reason of insanity to charges of failure to comply with an order of a police officer, two counts of theft from an elderly person, one count of theft and one count of forgery, said a spokeswoman from Seneca County Court of Common Pleas Judge Michael Kelbley's courtroom.

Orona had led law enforcement on a chase after a Seneca County deputy attempted to serve an arrest warrant on her March 14.

The court spokeswoman said no future court dates have been set yet.
