Singles sweep fuels TC

FREMONT - Columbian swept the singles matches en route to a 4-1 victory over Fremont St. Joe. In the three singles matches, the Streaks won just two total games.

Victor Keller blanked Nick McNair 6-0, 6-0, Nick Gaietto beat Hunter Harrison 6-1, 6-0 and Adam Young topped Jacob Wurzel, 6-0, 6-1.

Columbian also got a doubles win from Drew Smith and Steven Peer against Jacob McQuiston and Jacob Halin, 6-0, 6-0.

The lone St. Joe win came from the team of Grant Cleveland and Aaron Burns against Hunter Stark and Austin Crabtree, 6-0, 6-2.

Columbian is 9-5 on the year.

Willard blanks Calvert

Willard lost just one set in a 5-0 sweep of Calvert. In singles, Alex Hanes topped Jack Burtis, 6-0, 6-0, Ryan Pfefferle beat Jacob Zimmerman 6-1, 6-1 and Logan Blanchard beat Daniel Kwiat 6-2, 6-1.

In doubles action, Marcus Hahler and Corey Bohach beat Ian Warnement and Tim Puesey 6-4, 6-7, 1-6. Alex Ramos and Zack Cofer beat Mark Fowler and Danny George 6-1, 6-3.

Calvert drops to 1-6 on the year.

Rams roll to win

UPPER SANDUSKY - Upper Sandusky didn't lose a game in three singles matches as the Rams topped Crestline, 4-1. Brice Arnold beat Alex Langdon, Seth Sprang beat Xena Humphrey and Tyler Rice beat Cody Taylor all by 6-0, 6-0 scores.

The Rams picked up a doubles win from Evean Scheck and Dan Maltsbarger against Kaleb Johnson, 7-5, 6-2.

Crestline's team of Quinton Whilhite and Josh Langdon beat Trevor Barth and Drew Barth, 2-6, 7-5, 6-1.
