An alleged assault occurred Friday night at Main and Prospect streets.
According to a report from the Tiffin police department, a male subject reported Saturday morning he was assaulted Friday evening around 8:45. The subject said he went home after the incident, but was being admitted to the hospital for surgery.
Patrolman Robert O'Connor of the Tiffin police said the incident is under investigation, but it is too early to provide many details. He said he has some ideas about a suspect in the case, and the victim of the assault had injuries that were not life-threatening.
