Woodmore rolls past Calvert

Woodmore got four hits from Andrea Bouldin and Madeline Phillips as the Wildcats posted a 19-0, five-inning victory over Calvert.

Phillips was also the game's winning pitcher, allowing just two hits and struck out seven.

Woodmore improves to 9-2. Calvert falls to 1-10.

TC shut out by Bellevue

A seven-run fifth inning proved to be the key for Bellevue, as it shut out Columbian, 8-0.

Bellevue had 11 hits in the win. Paige Correll took the loss for the Tornadoes.

Offensive explosion for New Riegel

UPPER SANDUSKY - New Riegel pounded out 14 runs on 21 hits, in a 14-8 victory over Upper Sandusky. Seven Blue Jackets had multi-hit games led by a 4-for-5 day from Paige Noftz. Noftz doubled, stole two bases, scored twice and drove in three runs.

Kara Scherger, Brooke Scherger, Taylor Kirian and Taylor Arbogast each had 3-hit days. Kirian and Arbogast each drove in three runs while each Scherger knocked home a pair.

Stacey Wank and Sandra Acree each had two base hits. Kirian picked up the win in the circle, pitching in relief. She gave up three runs, one earned, in four innings of work, allowing six hits.

For Upper Sandusky, Amber Cox went 4 for 4 with a pair of RBIs. Teahl Rice had two hits and also drove in a pair. Savannah Piecha and Tiffany Towns each had a pair of hits. Piecha scored three times and Towns crossed the plate twice.

Walker's big hit carries SE

PLYMOUTH - Samantha Walker broke open a tied game, with a two-run double in the sixth inning that proved to be the difference in a 7-5 Seneca East victory at Plymouth.

Seneca East took an early lead with five runs in the top of the second inning, only to see Plymouth tie it up with four in the bottom of the frame.

From there, Tiger pitcher Rachel Bauman shut down Big Red (2-10). She picked up the complete game win, her eighth of the year, allowing five runs, three earned, on five hits while striking out two.

Caitin Sauers, Karrigan Wurts and Cameil Ruffing also drove in runs for the Tigers (10-5). Sauers and Jess Enders had two-hit games.

Mohawk gives Arlington first loss

ARLINGTON - Mohawk posted four runs in the third inning and that was enough support for Kasey Adelsperger. Adelsperger struck out 10 in a complete game four-hit shutout as the Warriors topped Arlington 4-0.

It was the first loss of the season for Arlington (13-1).

Nikki Kieffer provided the bulk of Mohawk's offense with two hits and two RBIs. Adelsperger and Molli Cartwright also drove in runs. Taylor McClain added a pair of base hits.

Mohawk improves to 8-3.

Carey walks off with win

CAREY - In the top of the seventh, Crestline broke open a tie with Carey with two runs. The Blue Devils responded with three in the bottom of the frame to grab a walk-off 5-4 victory.

Audrey Hotelling had a pair of hits and drove in two runs. Taylor Fletcher also picked up a pair of RBI.

Also for Carey (7-10), Hannah Draper had a hit and an RBI, Makenzie Wentling had a pair of base hits and Katie Driggers tripled. Jessica Wyatt and Ali Rymer each added base hits.

Rymer was the game's winning pitcher. She struck out seven in the complete game performance.

Eagles rally past H-L

MONROEVILLE - Hopewell-Loudon spotted Monroeville five runs in the first inning, only to rally back to take a 7-6 lead after six innings. However the Eagles had the last laugh, scoring two in the bottom of the seventh for an 8-7 victory.

Hopewell-Loudon was led on the day by Lauren Trumpler who went 2 for 4 with a double, a run scored and four RBIs. Abby Park and Erin Gilbert each had base hits and RBIs.

St. Joe blanks Bettsville

FREMONT - Fremont St. Joe scored a 10-0, five-inning victory over Bettsville.

Abby Orwig had the lone Bobcat hit in the game.

Kristin Sessler had two hits and scored twice for St. Joe. Cassidy Frank pitched the Streaks to the win.
