Louise V. Pahl

Louise V. Pahl, 88, of Carey, died Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

She was born Dec. 2, 1923, in McCutchenville, to Fred Landon and Julia Bertha (Gintert) Tanner. She married Clarence L. Pahl Nov. 23, 1946, in Carey, and he survives in Carey.

Also surviving are five children, William Pahl, Ronald (Joan) Pahl, Keith (Lucy) Pahl, Karl Pahl and Donna (Roy) Johnson; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Mathias of Tiffin and Velma Lafontain of Carey.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Mildred Laury, Edith Wickiser, Kathryn Mahoney and Esther Hotelling; and five brothers, Earl Tanner, Fred Tanner, Dale Tanner, Ralph Tanner and Walter Tanner.

Visitation is 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey, with a scripture service at 7:45 p.m.

Her Mass of Christian burial is 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation, Carey, with the Rev. John Stowe, OFM Conv., officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Carey.

Memorial contributions, in memory of Louise, may be given to OLC Shrine or OLC School in care of Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, 225 W. Findlay St., Carey, Ohio 43316-1169.
